Our Story
It began with a simple idea: Let’s pool our talent, resources, and experience to pursue what we love best—namely, working with other passionate writers to help them achieve their goals. While we’ve each taught writing for many years and have offered our own successful critique and mentoring services independently, we longed to try something different.
Something community-focused.
Something collaborative.
Something that centers on the joy of writing.
R(ev)ise and Shine! is that something.
While we offer a suite of critique services for writers at every stage of their careers, our larger aim is to build a thriving writing community through online learning, one-on-one coaching, writing retreats, and new forums for conversation, support, encouragement, and imagination.

Our Mission
To create a fun, safe, welcoming, and diverse community of writers in a space that allows for encouragement, support, inspiration, and collective joy. We are here to share our love of writing craft, to explore and expand creativity, and to grow as writers and members of a writing community.
Our focus is not on the business of writing (though certainly participation helps guide you on your selected path). Instead, we welcome you to bring your open, vulnerable, artful selves. Come and share your thoughts, questions, and breakthroughs—no matter where you might be on your writing journey.
